A Russian organisation called Family Matters has used YouTube’s new 360 degree feature to focus on domestic abuse in a short but extremely effective video.
Titled “Do not look the other way”, the video features text which wraps around the 360 degree panorama of a woman and man at a dinner table. Following the text as it scrolls around the scene reveals the fact that in Russia, every 40 minutes, a woman dies from domestic violence.
Following the instruction in the title of the video to not look away reveals that the woman has a black eye.
